Vintage Alfred Meakin Staffordshire Fair Winds The Friendship of Salem Brown Salad Plates - Set of 10

$130.00 USD

Detailed set of 10, 7" Alfred Meakin Staffordshire Fair Winds Salad Plates

The pattern of this wonderful dinner set was created from original copper engravings depicting historical scenes of Chinese Export to America. The pattern is titled "The Friendship of Salem".

The scenes on the plate feature a federal eagle crest, a Canton Port in 1830 and the New York Harbor in 1830. The Latin words "E. Pluribus Unum" can be seen at the top of the plate. The center scene features sailors firing cannon balls off a large tall ship in the foreground towards another tall ship in the background.

This wonderful salad plate set is perfect for a dinner party. The set is equally at home in English Traditional or more Eclectic settings. The reddish brown and antique white colors of this plate allow it to blend wonderfully with autumnal and holiday tablespaces.

If you are looking for a more complete dinner set, we are also selling teacups and saucers, a tea/coffee pot, dinner plates, small bowls and a platter in this same pattern. Sold separately on this store.
