Set of Four Late 19th Century Eb Napoli Italian Majolica Lettuceware Plates
A set of four late nineteenth-century Italian majolica plates by EB Napoli, modeled in trompe l'oeil relief as curled lettuce leaves.
Produced in Italy circa 1890, these earthenware dishes capture the naturalistic botanical tradition popular in European majolica of the late Victorian era. The surfaces feature molded veining and ruffled borders under hand-painted glazes, where deep green pooling contrasts against the pale central ribs.
