Tennis tea sets originated in the late Victorian era, coinciding with the sport's rise as a fashionable pastime for the aristocracy and wealthy middle class. Lawn tennis parties were a favored form of entertainment, often held on expansive estates. Tea, already an essential part of Victorian social rituals, became an integral component of these gatherings, leading to the creation of specialized tea sets - teacups with elongated saucers for teatime food. House-ready.
