Silver-plate English Epergne. This simple yet elegant Epergne is ideal for tables capes and side tables.
Marples & Co was launched by Alfred Marples in 1901. The company became Marples & Co by 1905 and the mark of Slater Bros was acquired during this time (both can be seen on the bottom of the epergne). Marples closed its business during the late 1920s and the Slater Bros mark was passed to Gregory Bros. This means this piece was made between 1905 and 1929.
