The Marly pattern, introduced by Christofle in 1897, remains one of the most intricate and celebrated designs in the house’s archive. Named for the Château de Marly—Louis XIV’s private retreat west of Paris—the pattern reflects the ornate spirit of the Rocaille style.

Asymmetrical scrolls, shell motifs, and trailing foliage are finely chased into each handle, showcasing Christofle’s exceptional craftsmanship and the decorative richness of the late Baroque era.
