The art of the table. One of life’s simplest pleasures is a meal shared around a setting that feels thoughtful, personal, and just a touch romantic. While a perfect tablescape is overrated, one that’s layered with intention and feeling is where magic is created.
I love to build a table the way I build a home. With pieces that carry history, charm, and soul. Think porcelain plates edged in gold, gathered over time. Vintage glassware that catches the light just right. Linen napkins that have softened through years of use. These are the things that transform a table into a memory.
Start with a base, something soft and tactile like a vintage tablecloth or a subtly patterned runner or let the beauty of your table’s natural wood or glass shine. From there, build upward. Layer dishware, mix flatware, and add vessels for blooms or fruit. We always suggest throwing in something unexpected. A tulipière as a centerpiece. Small silver dishes for olives or chocolates. A pair of candlesticks from another era entirely.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of sitting down to a table that’s been set with care. It sets the tone for connection, conversation, and a long, lingering hour with the ones you love.
